So I’ve just managed to whip through the first book in the Beast Quest series – Ferno the Fire Dragon. I can see why children get a bit sucked in as it’s a very classic fantasy story with a strong hero, Tom. This book is not as challenging as some of the other books that I have reviewed on this blog, but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t any good.

I would recommend this book to someone who finds it difficult to get motivated to read or someone who never manages to finish a book. If you have always found reading quite challenging, give this series a go and get lost in another world! It would be great for anyone in Key Stage 2 and even some people in Key Stage 1. If you see it, have a quick flick and see what you think!

Don’t forget that whenever you use the Internet, you need to be safe. If you’re not sure about a website, ask an adult and if you see anything inappropriate, close you browser down and let an adult know straight away. Do not talk to people online that you have not met in person and if you think it is someone you know, be certain that it is them before engaging in conversation.
