Currently reading ‘Chinese Cinderella’ by Adeline Yen Mah

I remember a friend at school recommending me this book, but I never got round to reading it. I’m preparing myself for an emotional ride after reading reviews such as the one below. Some reviews also comment on the insight this books gives into Chinese culture. Already I have read about her Grandma who has bound feet, an ancient tradition I remember watching on a documentary when I was ill one time. Such a brutal thing to do, all in the name of beauty! Already this book makes me remember ‘Spilled water’ by Sally Gardner which I really enjoyed, so here it goes!
