The latest book by David Walliams, The World’s Worst Children, is unlike any of the other books by Walliams. It is a collection of short stories about, as you’ve most probably guessed, really horrid children. It is beautifully, or should I say disgustingly, illustrated in colour by Tony Ross which makes it just that little bit more special.
The book gives a profile of a lot of different gross children, from nose pickers to gaseous guffers. My favourite children were Sophia Sofa, a lazy half girl-half sofa rotter and Windy Mindy, a girl who discovers her natural talent of playing musical instruments with her bottom.
It was a very funny book and it did make me laugh. I read quite a lot of it whilst sitting in the park with my sister. I think that she got a bit embarrassed when I kept on laughing out loud… This would be a great book for you if you find it quite tricky to remember the story line in a long story. As they are short chapters on separate children, it would make it easier to follow. It would also make a great bed time story, whether you read it or a parent/grandparent/whoever you live with reads it to you. I have to say though, brace yourself for a gross first story about a boy who can’t stop falling asleep and dribbling…

Wow you have truly inspired me to read the books that you recommended

That book sounds gross – but good! Congrats to your sister! Mum has 4 months to go still, her baby is dew in October! 😊
